| My God, my Rock, I need Your help desperately. There have been habits that are slowly becoming my idol. It is ruining my faith in You, as well as my health even though I enjoy it for short periods of time. After the temporary effects overdue, I crave for more, and even after trying my best, I cannot get away from the habit. Lord Jesus, I need Your help. You have said in Your Word, I have the power, through Christ, to break free from any harmful habit. You have the power because on the cross, 2000 years ago, You totally defeated the devil who is the god of all evil habits. This habit of mine is slowly weakening my body, mind and soul and I feel like a slave, bound by chains. In the Mighty Name of Jesus I rebuke the foul spirit of these harmful habits. I command you, in Jesus’ Name, to go and get out of me and leave me alone. Today I pronounce death to you. You are no more my boss. I am set free by the resurrection power of Lord Jesus and His Blood. Just as death no longer has power over Jesus Christ, neither does sin have dominion over me through my union with Him. I consider myself dead to sin and my relation to it broken. I am alive only to God, living in unbroken fellowship with Him, in Christ Jesus. I have been raised together with Him, far above principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness of this world and wicked spirits in high places. Sin shall no longer exert dominion over me, but I have dominion over sin. Thank You, Father, for setting me free. These are all under my feet, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen. |
