Almighty Father, I speak of Your amazing power and work in our lives. I praise You for Your goodness and Your never-ending, timely blessings given to all Your people. I worship You for Your abundant love and genuine care. Thank You for sacrificing Your life so that we may have freedom and new life. Forgive us when there are times that we don’t thank You enough for who You are, for all that You do, and for all that You’ve given. Help us to fix our eyes and set our hearts on You alone. Renew our spirits today, and fill us with peace and joy that comes only from You.
Lord, I declare that nothing will separate me from You today. Teach me how to choose only Your way so each step will lead me closer to You. Allow me to walk and be guided by the Holy Spirit. Purify my heart and help keep it undivided. Protect me from the lies of the enemies through my own careless thoughts, words, and actions. Keep me from getting distracted by my selfish desires, and pursuit of my own will. Help me embrace what comes my way as an opportunity and not an in insignificant personal inconvenience, since this is Your will and You are always in control. Allow me to rest in the truth that great is Your love toward me and the people I love.
There are times that I may fall short and mess up. But right now, I choose to listen to Your gentle whisper of absolute love and let it saturate within the deepest part of my heart. I recognize Your love for me is not based on my performance. I find it amazing that You love all that I am, including my imperfections. Father, help me to forever remember what a gift it is to sit with You like this. Amen.
