For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:11-12
God of the universe, You are powerful. You are Almighty from whom all power belongs. You are my King forever and I certainly know that I can trust You with every single thing.
I ask for forgiveness, Lord, if I had shown such a little faith in the past days. Forgive me for not completely trusting You. Forgive me for stubbornly nurturing that unbelief in my heart. Forgive me for not spending more time knowing who You are.
Now, I am reminded of how great You are. I am reminded that You are powerful and that You have a great plan for me. Thank You for showing me that You are more than capable of putting in place the plans that You have in mind. You are in control of everything that happens in my life. All I need is listen to Your words.
Thank You, Lord, for showing me the way. Your word is a lamp to my feet. You have made known to me the path of life. You have filled me with joy in Your presence. You have given me assurance that if I trust in You with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding, You will make my path straight.
Lord, I choose to acknowledge You in all my ways. I believe that You are in control. I choose to surrender to Your plans and trust You in the process. I choose to believe Your promises. I know You have the best intentions in mind. Help me to endure and enjoy along the way.
In all these things, I pray that my joy shall remain intact. Help me to not give up when being tested. Help me to grow even during the waiting period. Help me to grow deep in my relationship with You as I wait for Your plans to unfold. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
